Description

The Seeley headstone, located immediately south of the chancel of the Church of St Leonard in Charlecote, dates from 1697 and commemorates Timothy Seeley. It is made of ashlar stone and features a nowy-headed inscription panel set within a nowy-based architrave. The sides are adorned with relief scrolls and flowers, while the top is capped with a swan-neck pediment that encloses a relief cherub. This headstone is a well-preserved example of its kind.
