Description
This chest tomb, located approximately 1.5 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary, dates from the early to mid-18th century and is made of stone. The long sides of the tomb feature drapery, inscription panels, and a winged cherub's head. It has square panelled and gadrooned corner balusters, along with a moulded base and top. The short sides display coats of arms. The inscriptions commemorate Charles Knottesford, who died in the 17th century (the exact date is illegible), and John Knottesford, who died in 1781.
