Description

The Holy Well, located at SP 4100 6186, is a well that likely dates from the 17th or 18th century, although it may have earlier origins. It features a semi-circular structure made of limestone and sandstone, with a straight wall that has three worn carved heads that spout water into a trough. The well is reinforced by moulded buttresses on either side. There are three steps leading down to either side of the trough.
