Description

The weir at the junction of The Serpentine and River Alne, located approximately 120 meters southeast of Wootton Hall, is likely from the early to mid-18th century, though it may have earlier origins. The weir features about 12 steps leading to it and has a shallow V-shape in plan, with each arm measuring approximately 14 meters in length. The Serpentine is part of the 18th-century landscaping of Wootton Park. All the listed items in Wootton Park are considered to be of group value.
