Description
Church House is a late 18th-century/early 19th-century semi-detached house. It is constructed of red brick with a moulded stucco eaves cornice, and has a slate roof and brick end stacks. The house follows a 2-unit double-depth plan, with three storeys and a two-window front. The entrance is on the left, featuring a six-panelled door and fanlight with decorative glazing, set within a doorcase that has flat-panelled sides, an intrados, fluted Ionic half-columns, an entablature, and a broken pediment. Tripartite sash windows are positioned under scored stucco flat arches; the windows above the door are narrower. A lower, early/mid-19th-century wing is located on the right, distinguished by a brick dentil cornice and one first-floor window. The interior has not been inspected.
