Description

Arnold Place consists of a row of six houses dating from the earlier 19th century, and subject to some later alterations. The houses are built of yellow brick with Welsh slate roofs, except for number 20 which has a tiled roof. Each house has three storeys and six sash windows, each with glazing bars and flat arched surrounds. Modern bay windows have been added to the ground floors of numbers 20 and 24. The doorways all have rectangular fanlights with geometrical pattern glazing bars and slim reeded surrounds under cornices; a later cut bracketed doorhood is present at number 24. Numbers 12 to 26 form a cohesive group.
