Description

This is an 18th-century cottage, possibly with earlier origins, located in a row on Main Street, Long Lawford. The cottage was altered in the late 20th century. It is constructed of whitewashed brick with a string course. The roof is corrugated iron, with boarded eaves and an old brick ridge, along with a 20th-century brick stack on the left end. The cottage has a two-unit plan and a single storey with an attic, displaying a two-window front. A late 20th-century plank door is set under a brick segmental arch. The ground floor has late 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars; a three-light window is under a brick segmental arch to the left, and a four-light window is in an enlarged opening on the right. A blocked door is present to the right. The first floor features three-light casement windows with glazing bars, with a raked half-dormer to the left and a window on a lower level to the right. The interior was not inspected.
