Description
This barn, located approximately 20 meters east of the Old Rectory, dates from the 18th century and was extended at the southeast end in the 19th century. It features red brick in Flemish bond on a coursed and dressed sandstone plinth, topped with a plain-tiled roof. The original structure consists of two bays, with the 19th-century extension adding one bay. On the west side, there is an original doorway with a segmental arch, which has a later split door. The 19th-century addition is built of similar red brick and has a plain-tiled roof. Inside, the barn has a central truss of upper cruck construction, with cruck blades on a transversal ceiling beam that has spurs to the wall plate joined by a collar. There is also an original doorway in the former south gable of the barn.
