Description

This gatepier and the sandstone section of the adjoining forecourt wall, located on the east side of the entry to Priory Farmhouse, date from around 1700. They are constructed from squared and coursed sandstone, featuring a rebate for the gate. The gatepier has a grey sandstone moulded cornice and square bases for a ball finial, which has since been removed. The adjoining wall is made from similar materials and includes gable coping.
