Description
The ornamental pool kerb and basin, located approximately 40 meters southeast of the southeast terrace at Merevale Hall, dates from around 1850. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar and features a circular basin with a keyed raised kerb. This structure is part of a formal layout designed by M.A. Nesfield around the same time. It is included for its group value, as the gardens of Merevale are listed in the Historic England Register of Parks and Gardens at grade II.
