Description
Rock Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates partly from the 17th century, with a late 18th-century front and right range, along with later additions. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick, featuring a brick string course and cornice, while part of the left range is timber-framed with brick infill. The roofs are covered with old plain tiles, and there are brick stacks. The building has an L-plan shape, with an irregular wing of several builds on the right side at the rear. The main range consists of two storeys and an attic, with four bays. The entrance features a four-panelled door with plain panelled reveals, a moulded wood surround, and a flat hood. The windows are three-light casements with top lights and horizontal glazing bars, set under brick segmental arches. There are also 20th-century two-light box dormers. A large central stack is present, and the two-storey left range has similar windows and an end stack. The left return side shows some exposed framing. Inside, the farmhouse is noted for its chamfered beams.
