Description
10 Stockwell Street is a late 18th-century house that is now used as offices. The building is constructed of brick and has a plain-tiled roof. It stands three storeys high and features a three-window range with a central entrance and a short rear wing to the left. The entrance consists of a six-panelled door set within an architrave topped by a pediment supported by scrolled brackets. On either side of the doorway, there are paired 12-pane sash windows on each floor, with a single 12-pane sash window located above the doorway. All windows have flat-arched brick heads with painted stone keys and a continuous cill band at the first floor. The building is adorned with a heavy moulded stone eaves cornice and a parapet, while the gables are stone-coped with end wall stacks. The lead rainwater goods feature feather-cast leadwork on the rainwater head. The interior has not been inspected. This building was omitted from the fourth list on July 7, 1972, but was reinstated on May 8, 1974.
