Description
The bridge on Grange Road in Biddulph is an ornamental structure built in the mid-19th century and restored in the early 21st century. It was constructed by the Bateman family of Biddulph Grange as part of an extended walking route through the estate, contributing to the designed landscape. The bridge features a stilted elliptical arch made of rockfaced stone. It has panelled ashlar parapet walls that are sharply recurved, with end piers supported by volutes and topped with moulded coping.
