Description
Wolfdale Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed from coursed and dressed stone, featuring a slate roof, with part of it being Westmorland slate, and stone end stacks. The building has two storeys and a gable-lit attic, presenting a symmetrical front with two windows. The windows are fitted with glazing bar sashes, and there is a low, central boarded door.
On either side of the farmhouse, there are slightly set-back flanking walls that rise to approximately 2 meters in height. The front boundary is marked by cast iron railings that have ornate fleur-de-lys arcading and urn standards, flanking a central gate that includes dog rails and scrolled brackets. These railings are set on ramped dwarf walls that retain the bank, accompanied by symmetrical steps with opposed flights.
