Description

The Jeffreys Memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 50 metres south-south-east of the Church of St. Giles in Cheadle. It dates from the early 19th century and commemorates John Jeffreys, who died in 1801. The tomb is made of stone and features heavily reeded pilasters at the corners. It has an oval inscription bordered by a moulded top slab that has a hipped-ridged centre.
