Description

The head and foot stones for Walker, who died in 1756, are located approximately 14 metres south of the Church of Holy Trinity in Baswich. The headstone is made of ashlar and features a nowy head with side drapes, top festoons, three cherubs, and three skulls at the base. The rectangular footstone has a cornice on three sides and displays faces on the sides, along with three upright praying figures wearing loincloths that face the headstone. The carving is noted for its unusual primitive style.
