Description

This headstone, located approximately 5 metres south of the transept of the Church of Holy Trinity in Baswich, Stafford, is a Grade II listed structure. It commemorates Richard and Elizabeth (surname partly illegible), who died in 1715 and 176/7. The headstone is made of limestone and features a segmental-headed design with a nowy hood. It includes an oval cartouche adorned with scrolled foliage and drapes, along with cherubs positioned above and below the cartouche. This headstone is noted as a good early example of its kind.
