Description
The Church of St Chad, built in 1894 and designed by architect Basil Champneys, is a Grade II* listed building located on Newcastle Road in Slindon. This late Gothic church features a freely treated style that is considered very successful. Constructed from stone with a tiled roof, it has a cruciform plan and a low central tower. The chancel, crossing, and porch are stone vaulted. The interior is good but restrained, and it includes some glass by Kempe.
