Description
The Toll Lodge, located about 100 metres north-north-west of Offley Grove, is an early 19th-century tollhouse. It is a small octagonal building made of cement-rendered sandstone, topped with a plain tile roof featuring lead-roll hips and an octagonal brick chimney at the apex with a stone cap. The building has two storeys, with three sides facing the lane that each have one pointed arch window opening on both floors, fitted with casements. On the east side, there is a panelled door, and on the west side, there is a short two-storey brick wing that was added in the later 19th century.
