Description
This description covers a group of four memorials located approximately 20 yards south-south-west of the west tower of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels. These altar tombs date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century and are made of ashlar stone. They have a square plan, with two of the tombs featuring oval panels on the sides and oversailing caps with moulded edges. The memorials include one for William Potts, who died in 1790, another for James Hyatt, who died in 1822, a memorial for the Chambley family, and one unidentified memorial.
