Dunston Wolverhampton Road Dunston Hall Former stable block approximately 20 yards south-west of Dunston Hall

Former stable block. Late C18 with later alterations and additions; hipped plain tile roof. Main range aligned north-south facing east, with saddle room attached to the south and later garage wing aligned east-west projecting from the north end of the east face to form an L-shaped plan. Central stable range with saddle room to left and later wing to right.

Main range: two storeys surmounted by central cupola with lead covered dome, and a clock contained within a pedimented aedicule; 3:1:3 bays, with pilaster strip divisions forming panels, small-pane casements with cast iron frames alternating between ground and first floors, the former with semi-circular heads, the latter with segmental heads, right hand bay obscured by later garage wing, gabled central break with ground-floor recess revealing stairs to left, door to right and central window, and first-floor Diocletian window with raised key.

Saddle-room: One storey with hipped roof surmounted by a louvre; three bays defined by pilaster strips, small pane casements to left and right with Gothic glazing bars and semi-circular heads; central boarded door with rectangular overlight beneath a segmental head. Dunston Hall is not included in this list.
