Description

The Edward Offley Memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 10 yards west of the north aisle of St. Chad's Church in Pattingham. It commemorates Edward Offley, who died in 1816. The tomb is constructed of ashlar stone and features long sides adorned with two oval panels set within oblongs that have quadrant corners. It includes moulded pilasters at the center and each corner, which are topped with fluted caps. The frieze displays triglyphs, and the structure is finished with a moulded cornice and base.
