Description
The Pigot Arms is a public house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a painted sandstone plinth and features a clay tile roof with brick stacks. The building has a two-storey main range and a slightly lower two-storey wing that is set back to the left.
The main range has a window arrangement of 2:1:2, with a central bay that projects slightly and features a pediment. The ground floor has glazing bar sash windows with plaster lintels, while the first floor has painted brick heads above the windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door, with the upper two panels glazed, and is topped by shaped plaster lintels. The eaves have a dentilled course. To the right, there is another six-panelled door, also with the upper two panels glazed, and two additional glazing bar casement windows with painted stone lintels.
