Description

Pattingham House is an early 19th-century house situated on the South side of High Street, Pattingham. The house is constructed of red brick with a hipped slate roof and brick stacks to the rear. It is two storeys high, displaying a moulded cornice and three windows. The windows are 16-pane glazing bar sashes, with the central first-floor window being narrower and featuring 12 panes. Simple plaster hoods are carried on brackets above all windows. A central, half-glazed door is topped by a semi-circular fanlight and framed by flanking Doric columns, all beneath an open pediment. A low, single-storey wing extends to the left, also with a hipped slate roof, tall brick stacks to the front, and three glazing bar casements. The front garden is enclosed by iron railings and a gate to the north, and by stone-coped brick walls with ball ornaments to the east and west.
