Description

Keeper’s Lodge is a lodge dating from around 1840, situated within Bednall Teddesley Park and Teddesley Hay. It is constructed of yellow brick with ashlar quoins, and has an oversailing slate roof with an ashlar central stack. The lodge is designed in an Italianate style and is aligned north-south, facing west. It is two storeys high, with rusticated quoins and moulded eaves supported by brackets. The front elevation features two windows: the ground floor window to the right has a semi-circular head, while the first floor windows have segmental heads. The windows are glazing bar sashes with raised surrounds and keystones. A projecting, pedimented porch is located on the left, containing a six-panelled door with a raised keystone and a semi-circular arch springing from imposts. Both the north and south elevations have a ground floor canted bay window with a hipped roof, and a first floor window with a raised surround and keystone. Each also features a pedimented gable.
