Description

The Round House is a former lock keeper's house dating from the 18th century, with later alterations. It is built of red brick and features a brick stack. The building has a circular plan and stands two storeys high, topped with a castellated parapet and a chimney that is designed as a turret. The windows are 20th-century casements. The Round House is part of a charming collection of buildings surrounding Gailey Wharf.
