Description
This is a Dutch barn dating from the mid-19th century, located immediately north of the Stable and Coach House Range in Chillington Park, Brewood. The barn is constructed of red brick and features a clay plain tile roof with gabled ends. It has a long rectangular shape with eight open-sided bays. The east and west sides are supported by tall rectangular brick piers that extend up to the eaves. Both the north and south gable ends include large round-arch openings, which are adorned with diamond patterns of ventilation holes in the brickwork above. Inside, the barn has a complete eight-bay roof supported by king-post trusses with struts.
