Description
This building is an annex to the public house Ye Olde White Harte, located approximately 5 yards north-west of it. It likely dates from the 15th or 16th century but was remodeled and partially rebuilt in the 17th century. The structure is timber framed with some brick rebuilding and is painted white, topped with a plain tile roof. It stands two storeys high and features a first floor band. The annex has two gabled bays with 19th-century wood mullioned and transomed windows, and the first floor windows have segmental heads. There is an exposed queen strut roof truss visible on the left-hand gable. At the rear, large rectangular panels of exposed timber framing can be seen. This building is included for its group value with the adjacent public house.
