Description
The Timmis memorial is a chest tomb located about 4 meters north of the north-west corner of the north transept of the Church of All Saints in Madeley. It dates from around 1827 and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb has a rectangular plan with a moulded plinth and capping, featuring fluted corners. On the south side, there is a moulded rectangular inscription panel adorned with floral decoration, commemorating Anne Georgiana, who died in 1827, the infant daughter of John and Anne Timmis. The top ledger includes further inscriptions for Louisa Timmis, who died in 1845, and Josiah Timmis, who died in 1854. At the time of the last survey in 1984, the north side of the tomb was missing.
