Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb, likely dating from the late 18th century, located about 6 meters west of the south porch of the Church of All Saints in Madeley. The tomb is made of sandstone ashlar and has a rectangular plan. It features a moulded plinth and capping, along with square corner balusters that display rosette and urn emblems. On the north side, there is a moulded inscription panel with fluted fans at the corners, although the inscription was indecipherable during the last survey in 1984.
