Description
The Rowley memorial is a chest tomb located about 4 meters south of the south porch of the Church of All Saints in Madeley. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb has a rectangular plan and features square corner balusters. The top slab is inscribed and commemorates Elizabeth, who died in 1770, the wife of John Rowley. At the top of the slab is the head of a winged angel, while the foot displays a skull and cross-bones with a heart. Additionally, there is an inscription panel on the south side dedicated to Mary Rowley, who died in 1809.
