Description
The Timmis memorial is a chest tomb located about 5 meters south of the chancel of the Church of All Saints in Madeley. It dates from around 1817 and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb has a rectangular plan and features a moulded plinth and capping, along with reeded corner pilasters. The moulded inscription panel on the south side commemorates Richard Timmis, who died in 1817, and his wife, Elizabeth, who died in 1856. Additionally, there is an inscription on the short east side dedicated to their two infant daughters, Alice, who died in 1807, and Sarah, who died in 1808.
