Description
The Wilkinson memorial is a chest tomb located about 3.5 meters north of the northeast corner of the north transept of the Church of All Saints. It dates from around 1830 and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb has a rectangular plan with a moulded plinth and capping, featuring square corner balusters. The inscription panels on the south side commemorate Ellen Wilkinson, who died in 1831, and her brother Charles, whose date of death is indecipherable. On the north side, there is an inscription for their sister Eliza, who died in 1843, and her daughter Martha Crewe, who died in 1845. The top ledger of the tomb has been partly dislodged during a re-survey in 1984.
