Description

Aston Manor Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof, arranged in a U-plan. The farmhouse is three storeys high, featuring a heavily moulded eaves cornice that returns to the left- and right-hand ranges at the rear, interrupted by brick corner piers. The front elevation has three windows, with mid-to-late 20th-century plate glass sashes in the original openings, which have gauged heads and raised plastered keystones. The ground floor includes three-light 20th-century French windows on either side of the central entrance. A 20th-century half-glazed door is set within a plain pedimented doorcase with a rectangular overlight. There are end stacks to the ranges at the rear, with another stack positioned centrally behind the ridge. A 20th-century single-storeyed lean-to extends at the back, spanning the two parallel rear ranges.
