Description
A range of outbuildings, including a former brewhouse, bakery, wash-house, and laundry, is located approximately 50 meters east of the Old Rectory. These structures likely date from the mid-18th century, while the pigsties were added in the early 19th century. They are built of red brick with a plain tiled roof, featuring an end stack on the left and a ridge stack on the right. The buildings are arranged along the east side of a courtyard adjacent to the Old Rectory. They are single-storey with a loft in the bakery, and include three casement windows—two with latticed panes and one fixed light window—as well as three doorways leading to the brewhouse, bakery, and wash-house, all with cambered heads. There are nesting boxes above the two left-hand doors. Inside, the bakery retains remnants of a bread oven and has a king post roof supported by four bays. The two pigsties, attached to the north end, have red brick walls topped with stone coping and ramp down from the road at the north end. These buildings are included for their group value.
