Description

The Cope memorial is a chest tomb located about 6 meters west of the south-west corner of the south porch of the Church of All Saints. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb has a rectangular plan, featuring a moulded plinth and capping with square corner balusters. On the south side, there is an inscription panel dedicated to Hanah, who died in 1794, the wife of James Cope, who died in 1829, and his second wife, Mary, who died in 1845.
