Description
The Harding Memorial is a pedestal tomb located about 3.5 metres east of the south porch of the Church of St John the Baptist in Loggerheads. It dates from around 1830 and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb is square in section and features a moulded plinth and capping with rosettes at the corners above the plinth. It has a shallow pyramidal top that is adorned with a carved urn finial. The south and west sides of the memorial have shaped inscription panels that commemorate Elizabeth and Samuel Harding, although the dates and much of the wording are difficult to read.
