Description
The stable block, located 75 meters east of Weeford House Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century and has some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick with a tiled roof featuring an eaves band. The south face is two stories high and consists of a layout of 3:3:1:3:3 bays, most of which are blind. The outer sections are wider and taller, featuring low rectangular openings on the first floor and segmental-headed openings on the ground floor. The inner bays are more closely spaced, with square openings on the first floor and round arches on the ground floor, including central segmental-headed doorways. There is a slight break to the square central pavilion, which rises to the eaves at the ridge level of the adjoining sections and is topped with a pyramidal roof that has a timber dovecote. The south face displays raised bands and a central recess in the brickwork. Additionally, there is a round arch opening on the first floor above a segmental-headed cart entry that has boarded doors.
