Description
The terrace retaining wall and steps, located approximately 40 yards south-west of Thorpe Hall, date from the mid-19th century. The structure features a brick base topped with a stone balustrade, extending about 70 yards in length and aligned north-west to south-east. It faces south-west and includes a central opening flanked by large square panelled piers. Access to the terrace is provided by a short flight of stone steps. The balustrade is latticed and interspersed with panelled piers, each surmounted by urns. This structure is included for its group value.
