Description

Thorpe Gorse Cottages comprise a row of three cottages, dating to the 18th century with an early 19th-century extension. The original cottages are constructed of ashlar, while the extension is built of red brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there are brick integral end stacks and a ridge stack. The cottages are two storeys high and have five windows, which are modern casements set within the original window surrounds. There are three doorways. The ground floor doors and windows of the two original 18th-century cottages have keyed lintels, whereas the doors and windows of the 19th-century extension to the right have segmental heads.
