Description
This former barn, located approximately 20 metres south of Footherley Farmhouse, dates from the mid-18th century and has a late 18th-century addition. It is constructed of red brick and features three tiers of slit vents. The roof is tiled with cogged eaves and has verge parapets. The building has a single storey and attic height, with double threshing doors positioned to the right of centre that run up under the eaves and are supported by stone hinge blocks. There is a 19th-century window at the extreme right. To the left end, there is a late 18th-century stable bay addition that includes a segmental-headed stable door. Additionally, there is a lower mid-19th-century addition at the right end. This barn is included for its group value.
