Description

This is a 17th-century barn and attached wall located approximately 100 yards west of Hamstall Hall. The barn is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof. It is one storey high with a loft and consists of five bays that are marked by narrow offset buttresses topped with stone copings. There are full-height barn doors positioned to the left of the center. To the right, there is a single-storey lean-to wing. The attached brick wall on the left has a toothed band and brick coping, enclosing the west corner of the outer courtyard. Inside, the barn showcases exposed timber-framed transverse trusses.
