Description
Rake Croft is a cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is likely timber framed and covered with render, featuring a wheatstraw thatch roof. The cottage has an end stack to the right and a ridge stack located behind the entrance. It is a single-storey building with a single dormer-lit attic and a four-window front. The windows are 20th-century casements. There are slight breaks at the right end and an inset from the left, which suggest some rebuilding in brickwork. The entrance is positioned to the left of center and has a 20th-century boarded door. Additionally, there is a lower addition to the left end, which is probably from the 19th century.
