Description
32 and 34 Rake Hill is a farmhouse that has been divided into three units. It dates from the late 18th century and has mid-19th century alterations. The building is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof with verge parapets and end stacks. It has rusticated quoins and a band at the first floor cill level. The front is three stories high with two window openings. The large pane sashes have painted rusticated wedged heads, although the uppermost windows have been replaced by casements, and the ground floor windows have been replaced by flat-roofed three-sided bays. There is a central entrance that includes a hood, an overlight, and a 20th-century part-glazed door. To the right, there is a lower late 18th-century wing with a projecting gable.
