Description

The churchyard cross, located approximately 15 yards south of the south aisle of the Church of St. John, dates from around 1844 to 1847 and incorporates 12th-century masonry from the church. It features a hexagonal base with three steps. The cross shaft has cable-moulded demi-shafts on the sides and is topped with a Celtic cross. Both the cross shaft and the cross are adorned with heads, chevrons, and other Romanesque motifs.
