Description
The County Court, built circa 1870, is constructed of ashlar. It is a three-storey building with five sash windows, each set within moulded architraves and cornices. A slightly projecting bay is centrally positioned, containing a single window. A moulded sill band runs along the second storey. The sides of the building feature rusticated pilasters. The ground floor is characterised by bands of vermiculated rustication, and features semi-circular headed windows with keyblocks. The central doorway is enclosed by a rusticated surround and includes a plain semi-circular fanlight, a figure-head keyblock, and a multi-panelled divided door. A similar doorway and window bay are found on the right-hand side. A modillion eaves cornice, blocking course, and a central entablature carved with the Royal Arms complete the exterior.
