Description
The Guild Hall, built in 1865, is a two-storey building located on Station Street. The exterior is finished in stucco, with the ground floor featuring a rusticated design. The building has slightly projecting outer bays, each containing one window, and a total of six sash windows. The ground floor windows have semi-circular heads and transoms that spring from slender moulded colonnetes, with panels located below the sills. The left-hand bay is set back at the first storey, which is behind a parapet and features two arched windows. The eaves are moulded and corbelled, and the roof is hipped and covered with slate. On the east side, there is a two-windowed section that includes a semi-circular headed doorway with a plain fanlight and a six-panelled divided door, with modern steps leading up from the right-hand side.
