Description
This is a pair of unoccupied cottages dating from the 18th century, located approximately 15 yards northeast of Mayfield Hall, along with an attached wall to the west. The cottages are constructed of ashlar stone and feature a plain tile roof that is hipped to the right, with a coped verge on the left. They stand two storeys tall and have a coved eaves course. The building has four bays with flat-faced mullioned windows that consist of two lights; the ground floor and first floor windows to the left of center have fixed light casements, while the other first floor windows are blind. There are six-panelled doors with raised surrounds and keystones on both the left and right sides. The attached wall on the left is approximately 5 yards long and includes a round-headed doorway in the center.
