Description

The Former Wesleyan Chapel, built in 1885-1886, is an Italianate red brick church located high above the road on Church Road in Coalbrookdale. It features a slate roof and semi-circular-headed windows with keyblocks. The south facade is gabled and includes a projecting three-windowed bay along with a two-storeyed porch that has a semi-circular arched doorway. An inscribed stone tablet at the entrance commemorates the centenary of the death of John Fletcher, the evangelical vicar of Madeley.
