Description
The service wing immediately north-north-west of Longford Hall was built around 1794-1797 by J. Bonomi. This detached service wing faces the courtyard at the rear of Longford Hall. It is constructed of red brick on a sandstone plinth and features a hipped tiled roof. The building is two stories tall and has five bays. The ground floor has large sash windows with glazing bars and a central set of double doors with a rectangular fanlight above. On the first floor, there are 3-light casement windows. At the center of the building, there is an ashlar clock tower topped with a pyramidal tiled roof and a weathervane. The clock tower also has a moulded eaves cornice, round arched and lowered bell-openings with continuous impost moulding, and a clock face displayed on the front.
